Health & Wellness

We recommend using 1 level teaspoon per cup for loose leaf blends and 1 tablespoon per cup for sticky chai blends.

Each of our blends has specific brewing instructions listed on the label and in each description in our online store.

Our sticky chai(Warm & Nourishing) range are our only blends that are not classed as a vegan product, as they use local Mt Duneed honey to coat the fresh ginger.

All of our caffeine freeblends are safe for children to enjoy.

Every ingredient in our teas are gluten-free however we cannot 100% guarantee that there won’t be traces of gluten in our blends. However, we do our very best to ensure our supplies implement best practice to ensure no contaminant

Most ingredients used in our blends are low FODMAP herbs, teas and spices. Our sticky chai(Warm & Nourishing) range is not recommended, as these blends contain high fructose content from the locally sourced honey.

Pregnancy

Many pregnant women avoid caffeine in excessive amounts as it can upset their bubba. Choose Roo ain't the Bos of me a caffeine-free chai alternative, as well as many of our herbal blends*.

**We recommend avoiding liquorice root in pregnancy as it may increase blood pressure and likelihood of preterm labour. Liquorice root is found in Infini-tea & Beyond.

**Boobie Brew contains raspberry leaf tea, which is recommended for third trimester only, in preparation for birth - avoid in 1st and 2nd trimesters.

First of all - get onto the Boobie Brew!

This is a saviour for mammas, and keeps your milk supply going. It's also great for reducing colic.

All of our teas are safe for you to consume, however if you are struggling with milk supply, some herbs may dry you up even more! In that case, stick to Boobie Brew and re-assess when your supply is back up and running.

Environment and Social Responsibility

We make products that we would buy ourselves - tea that is both good for your body and sustainable for the environment. We believe that organically grown plants taste better, and are better for the planet.

Our eco-friendly stand up pouches are creatively sourced from a new to market material known as 'D2w'.

D2w is an oxo biodegradable polymer resin that is incorporated in the packaging which enables the packaging to break down quicker than a standard foil lined bag.

The shelf life of these bags is 18 months, if stored away from heat, light, and moisture.

Once the 18-month shelf life has expired and the bags have been disposed of correctly into home composting or industrial composting facility the packaging will break into microscopic flakes within 3 months. Exposing the bags to high levels of heat will ensure this process occurs correctly.

Tea Thief Products

Did you know that tea bags are up to 25% plastic, and therefore never fully decompose?

We subscribe to the SLOW living lifestyle and tea bags are the epitome of modern-day convenience! We also believe that tea tastes much, much better without papery plastic wrapped around it.

It depends in the blend and the seasons. As many factors, such as environmental and economic changes can affect our ingredients, the plantations and countries can change from season to season. Each blend has an origin and you can find out exactly where in our Ingredient Glossary.
